  • Use sound effects/music for interest
  • Keep it 30 seconds in length

RESEARCH PSA's WITH COMMENTS

1.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wp-hH0eem-4

This video was very simple. It previewed a video about a couple that discussed the safety and care in radiology. The presentation and audio was clear. There was a series of animated texts and transitions. The video was kept at 30 seconds exactly. The information and setting of the PSA was relatable to most individuals.

2. http://www.youtube.com/user/SonoSite?v=XTCwfTU6wgU

This video was my favorite one. It was very intense in that it stressed the idea that "there is no room for error". The video previewed physicians in a hospital setting, switching from different rooms, with simple animated texts and fragments that flashed on the screen.

MY PSA
  •  I will emphasize effects of radiation to the human body, along with safety procedures that will help reduce them.
  •  I want to video my PSA in a private office, keeping the environment professional. I may include a classical music background to keep a calm vibe throughout the PSA.
  • I will use a PSA that is informative yet causes awareness
  • I want to start my PSA in an office, discussing the effects of radiation. I will then move around the office speaking about the safety aspects about radiology, using animations to emphasize it.

Website Pages

Website Pages

1. Home: I will include a quote that refers to my entire capstone project. I will have an animation or visual, such as a picture, that gives readers an idea of what they are about to encounter. This page is mainly to "welcome" viewers to my site.

2. About: Here is where I will include information as to why I chose to direct my capstone towards this particular topic and share its importance.

3. Pictures: On this page, I will include up to 5 pictures of physical and mental damages that can be caused by radiation, as well as how they are caused and what can they become if not treated.

4. Model/Solution: I will illustrate my "end product". I want to draft a single page safety manual that I wish to be shared to radiologists/techs through seminars and trainings. I want to keep this page as simple as possible in order for my viewers to concentrate on my final idea.

5. References: This is the last tab to my website. I will post a blog about the sources that I used for my research, any influences, and a short abstract of my essay. I will share a link to my blogger as well, in case anyone is interested in following up on my research and perhaps reading my entire essay online.
